Construction Update
Currently, 4.6 Miles are under construction and design is complete for the remaining 10.7 miles. Some construction grading is complete at Bardane (Wiltshire Blvd.) and at the US 340 Charles Town Bypass area.

The following provides an update of specific sections of the project:

Martinsburg to Kearneysville
The design is complete for six miles of this section. Contruction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2006 from Regional Jail (CR 9/13) to Opequon Creek and from Opequon Creek to CR 9/19. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2006 from CR 9/19 to CR 1 (Leetown Road).

Kearneysville to Charles Town
The design is complete and construction is underway for 4.6 miles of this section. Construction is underway from WV 115 (Ex. US 340) to CR 20 S and from CR 8 (Wiltshire Blvd) to CR 1 (Leetown Rd.). Completion is scheduled for fall 2006. Construction is underway from CR 20 to S. CR 8 (Wiltshire Blvd.), and completion is scheduled for summer 2006. Construction is scheduled to begin late spring 2006 from WV 115 (Ex. US 340) to CR 1 (Leetown Rd.).

Charles Town to Virginia Line
The design of 4.7 miles of this section is complete. Construction is scheduled to begin summer 2006 from US 340 Frontage Roads. Construction is nearing completion from US 340 to Cattail Run (E CR 9/3). Construction is scheduled to begin spring 2008 from E CR 9/3 to E CR 27 and from Shenandoah River Bridge to WV/VA Line. Construction is scheduled to begin spring of 2011 on the Shenandoah River Bridge. And, construction is scheduled to begin early 2012 from US 340 to Shenandoah River.
